After many years teaching English to all ages, Helen then taught Politics and History. She has tutored for several years and is passionate that all children should be given the opportunity to excel in their academic studies. After leaving teaching in both mainstream and independent sectors, she founded SteppingStonesTutors.com in 2024 to reach a wider market beyond her local area.
Whilst some students thrive in a school setting, the reality is that many struggle, are ‘anonymous’ and do not reach their full abilities. One size certainly does not fit all.
Helen’s core aim was to ensure that all students are able to access their learning in a calm, friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere.
Our online tuition team of inspiring, enthusiastic tutors interact with children throughout the entire learning process. This personalised approach is dedicated to the belief that all students can thrive given the right environment for learning.
Helen Kingaby – English, History and Politics Tutor
Hi I’m Helen, after completing university where I studied English and Politics BA (Hons), I then completed a Masters in International Relations and, after a career change, I worked in both mainstream and independent education sectors as a teacher of English – at GCSE, A Level, Functional Skills and KS2 and KS3 English.
I have also taught History at KS3 and KS4, and Politics A Level.
I absolutely love tutoring (in-person and online) as I get to build fantastic relationships with my students; it is amazing to see the students’ progress.
